Oldcomputers.dyndns.org
ist for oldcomputers only (didn't you believe that) and runs on an really unknown operatingsystem for most of us -> the OS/2 Warpserver
made by IBM.
As I needed a stable OS years ago I use OS/2 in any
of his distributions.
On other systems I like Linux - the
distribution by SuSE,
NetBSD
and other free software. You will get most of them from linuxiso.org.
Be warned of less speed as this
is my testsystem for mostly personal use only. As I collected old computers here
are some informations about CP/M, TurboDos, TRS-DOS and the
hardware those OS are designed for. Some of the hardware are in my
basement and some was given away for
less place I have.
Explanation about the navigation in this side.
I used Filepage
to make the pages automaticaly. I named the created files info.html as
in some folders there are existing index.html files and they have to exist there..
Filepage makes use of descriptions. Descriptions is an filetype with
information for the files stored in an directory. If
descriptions are exist you see this on the right side in the
info.html file. Staying in filepage info.html structure you can browse
throug the hole side.
For better finding I added the swish-e searchengine here.
From this point I must say thanks to Ian Manners. On the www.os2site.com I found filepage and got the idea what was able to do with it and some hints from Ian show me the way.
